Orlando Family and 1st Birthday Session
This session was for grandma and grandpa. Momma, K, has her parents in town from Canada and wanted to give them a session with their only grandson on his first birthday. Hubby was busy but that didn't stop the little family from pouring out love. Baby J was happy and all giggles that afternoon.
He's a blessed little boy to have so many people that adore him in his life!

Family Fun, Down Town Stuart <3
This family was so fun! The boys were two years apart, just like my boys! I got a little peak into my very own future. Boys are a handful but I'm so excited to experience the craziness they will bring to our lives.
Anyways, what a fun session near down town Stuart, Florida. It was warm and so so sunny. Much sunnier than I expected. But it was a beautiful day. Everyone just glowed.
I love that the boys looked different in every single shot. They were constantly changing expressions and being goofy. It was so fun!

Nature Inspires.
One thing that I love taking photos of is the outdoors. But it's been difficult lately because we don't have much in the way of scenery around here and when I do go someplace, it's a park or other venue made for my boys. Which is so great. But I love pictures in the middle of nowhere, when I can find odd trees and amazing wild life. I had a chance not too long ago to be outdoors in a beautiful spot and I took advantage of it.
Being able to see so far into the trees is beautiful. Stunning, really. So much depth and detail.
And I always try to remember to look UP!
And down.
Get outside this week and explore the world around you. It's exciting to see what surrounds you daily. Sometimes it's a lot more than we realize.

St. Patrick's Day
It isn't about being Irish or getting drunk. No, for the Barfield's, St. Patrick's Day is a day for some of our favorite foods and delicious beer.
Every year that we've been married, I make large portions of both Corned Beed and Cabbage and Cottage Pie (which is Shepherds Pie with ground beef instead of lamb.) Though neither of these foods is traditionally Irish, we don't really care. We have talked about switching to traditional Irish foods instead, but then when would I make these delicious meals that we love? PROBABLY NEVER. And that just can't happen.

This year I decided to document the process which started at 10a and ended with food on the table around 8p.
It was a good day and I ate too much.

W Family Winter Session
South Florida is kind of a wonderful place to be in the winter.
This family really enjoys it. They have moved all over the state and have come back down here for all of their sessions. I have had the honor of shooting many times with them.
What a joy.
Yes, that is a lizard. We planned it ;-)
This was a funny shot. I actually planned for the kids to be a bit out of focus. As parents, we spend so much time with all our focus on the children. Even our family can cast us aside to see our kids better. I wanted this couple to be the center of this shot and let the kids be goofy. Because sometimes that's what we need to do to keep out sanity!
